Designer DJH

I am a Theatrical Costume Designer. I was the Resident Costume Designer at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego California for eight years and the Resident Costume Designer for the Gas-lamp Quarter Theatres for four years. I was head of the MFA Graduate program in Costume Design at San Diego State University for eight years and head of the Costume Design program at the University of California, Santa Barbara for twelve years. During my years of teaching I have continued working as a freelance designer. I have won several awards including 5 Atlas Awards from the Old Globe Theater, The San Diego Theater Critics Circle Award and the Los Angeles Hollywood Drama Logue Award. I am currently interested in making my art work available for sale.
Each design is from a production that I have designed. Where possible I will include a photo of the costume design on stage.
